Acupuncture

Acupuncture is a 5000 year old system of medicine developed by the Chinese, which is now used along with Western medicine to form the integrated health care system that exists today.  By stimulating specific acupuncture points on the body with hair fine stainless steel needles, the flow of qi is brought to a state of balance.  When this qi balance is restored, the body is better equipped in fighting disease and maintaining health.  Commonly treated ailments include headache, fibromyalgia, infertility, menstrual disorders, tennis elbow, low back pain, muscle pain, carpal tunnel syndrome, asthma, anxiety, depression, chemotherapy nausea and vomiting, stroke rehabilitation, and insomnia.

We are excited to introduce Kim Griffin, a skillful, compassionate and inspired practitioner of acupuncture to Wayland Wellness.

Kim Griffin is a graduate of the New England School of Acupuncture in Watertown, MA and holds a Masters Degree in Oriental Medicine.  She is board certified by the NCCAOM as a licensed acupuncturist.  Kim also holds a Bachelors degree in Nutrition and has been working as a nutrition counselor for 7 years.  Kim's mission is to take a holistic medical approach using her acupuncture and nutrition background to work to improve or maintain her patients health.  Her goal is to treat the root of the body's imbalances in order to alleviate the physical symptoms of disease.
