Tai
Chi and Qigong
Qigong is a discipline for
health maintenance and healing practiced by millions of people
for thousands of years. Qigong, pronounced Chi Kung, is an
ancient Chinese art translated as “Cultivating Energy”.
Qigong practices can be categorized
as medical/healing, meditative/spiritual, or martial arts. Tai
Chi developed as a martial art form used today as a “moving
meditation” to enable you to engage the power of your life
energy force towards your health and healing goals. Qigong and
Tai Chi are practiced today for many health benefits including
reducing stress and anxiety, enhancing the immune system, easing
arthritis pain, and promoting balance, flexibility, strength and
mental focus. Qigong and Tai Chi integrate posture, movement,
breathing techniques and focused intent to promote overall
health and well-being.
Come try a group or private class to
experience the many ways you can improve your health and
wellness using these ancient Asian arts with joy and
mindfulness.
