Yoga

The Sanskrit term yoga has a wide range of different meanings. It is derived from the Sanskrit root yuj, "to control", "to yoke", or "to unite". Common meanings include "joining" or "uniting", and related ideas such as "union" and "conjunction".

Tai Chi

Tai chi is sometimes described as "meditation in motion." Originally developed in China as a form of self-defense, this graceful form of exercise has existed for about 2,000 years. Tai chi can be used as both a basic exercise program or as a compliment to other health care methods. Health benefits include stress reduction, greater balance and increased flexibility, especially for older adults.
